Our Objectives

Alternative Poverty Eradication Bureau for Africa (APEBA) is mandated to carry out the following objects to fulfill its mission and vision:

  • To provide food, health care and other basic necessities to any and all vulnerable groups in South Sudan, especially orphaned and needy children;
  • To relieve poverty in South Sudan by providing agricultural materials and supplies;
  • To assist those in South Sudan by providing vocational and life-skills training;
  • To advance education in South Sudan by providing literacy programs and library services;
  • To provide women and youth leadership training programs to its members and others;
  • To provide after school tutoring programs for the low income children and youth here in Alberta;
  • To provide family crisis prevention programs to its members and others here in Alberta;
  • To provide for the recreation of the members and to promote and afford opportunity for friendly and social activities here in Alberta;
  • To acquire lands or purchase or otherwise, erect or otherwise provide a building or buildings for social and community purposes here in Alberta;
  • To provide a meeting place for the consideration and discussion of questions affecting the interests of the community here in Alberta;
  • To provide all necessary equipment and furniture for carrying on its various objectives here in Alberta and overseas..
